BillFish is simply SPECTACULAR ! 

A true fisherman's dream. 

While Marlin may be a common sight in the Indian Ocean 

it's certainly rare here in the east coast of Malaysia

Similarly, while Sailfish is plentiful in Rompin,

it's certainly rare here too off Terengganu

In 2002, 

we had 2 Marlin encounters

Datuk Fluit fought one of more than 2M for more than 30 minutes

left him slumped on the deck exhausted and thrilled !

In 2003

Datuk Fluit fought a sailfish but no marlin was in sight.

In 2004

Since the season started in February, 

we had 5 BillFish Encounters 

First Encounter 

Datuk Fluit had 2 strikes of Marlin of more than 2M. 

Second Encounter 

We were doing some bottom fishing with some friends. 

The Marlin did this 6 times !!

When we were on our way back to Merang. Same jump twice.

A strike with line dished out by Eng Seng with Ishak's 50 pound line and an improvised balloon. 

The marlin teased with a few stunts & left us with this !!
